About
Withernsea Beach is a sand and shingle beach that stretches for miles in either direction. The 19th Century Pier is no longer standing, although you can see the pier towers on the promenade marking its location. Unusually, Withernsea also has an old lighthouse set back from the beachfront within the town itself.
Withernsea Beach has dog restrictions from the 1st of May to the 30th of September between the first groyne north of the access ramp opposite Seaside Road and the beach access steps at Pier Tower.
Facilities include car parking, a promenade, toilets, seasonal lifeguards, amusements, shops and places to eat.
