About
Tucked along the Lincolnshire coast, Cleethorpes Beach Holiday Park is where you can wear your muddy boots to the shop and no one blinks. It’s set just outside the town, not too far from the sea, but far enough that the seagulls leave your chips alone. This park’s a fair shout if you’re looking for a dog-friendly Cleethorpes that doesn’t feel like a fight with signs and seasonal restrictions.
Dog Access and Rules
Along with most of Haven’s other holiday parks, Cleethorpes Beach welcomes dogs with open arms. Dogs are allowed throughout the park’s outdoor areas. There’s a Bark Yard assault course for your dog to try, and nearby Fitties Beach is dog-friendly all year round.
What's On Offer
The park has just about all the facilities you would expect from a family holiday park, although dogs are not allowed indoors or in the main activity areas. There are plenty of options for getting something to eat, although you will not be able to eat inside at the outlets.
Things To See & Do
The beach is the big draw. Cleethorpes beach is massive when the tide’s out, a proper space to throw a ball without disturbing anyone. There’s a seasonal dog ban on part of the main Cleethorpes beach from Easter to the end of September, so we walked south past the boating lake and let her off lead near the dunes.
There’s a dog-friendly light railway that runs up and down the front.
Outside the park, the country park is an excellent option for a beach alternative; there were not many people, peaceful paths, and bins where you needed them.
Access and Facilities
Driving is your best bet with parking by the caravans. Cleethorpes station is about 3 miles away if you’re coming by train. There’s a direct service to and from Liverpool Lime Street via Doncaster, Sheffield and Manchester Piccadilly.
Some buses run along the front, but they’re hit and miss outside of summer.
