About
The Trout Inn is a riverside pub in the picturesque village of Wolvercote. It is known for its beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the river. The Trout Inn is a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Oxford’s city centre. It offers a rich mix of traditional charm, with stone walls, wooden beams, and modern touches that create a cosy and welcoming environment.
A great stop-off whilst exploring the River Thames paths or after a visit to Port Meadow.
Dog Access and Rules
Dogs are allowed on the outside terrace and at the bar but not the inside restaurant.
Access and Facilities
The Trout Inn is a pleasant walk from Oxford city centre, mainly if you follow the Thames Path. It’s about 45 minutes on foot from the city centre, making for a scenic dog walk.
A small car park is available at The Trout Inn, and buses from Oxford city centre run to Wolvercote, and the bus stop is only a short walk from the pub. This option is good if you’d rather not drive and gamble on a parking space.
