Welcome to the MyPAWfectPlace mobile app, your companion for finding dog-friendly places near you. This guide will help you navigate the app and utilise its features effectively.
Getting Started
Download and Installation
- Visit the Google Play Store on your Android device
– Search for “MyPAWfectPlace.” or use this Play Store link. - Visit the Apple App Store on your iPhone or iPad
– Search for “MyPAWfectPlace.” or use this App Store link. - Tap Install to download the app.
- Once installed, open the app and grant any required permissions (e.g. location access).
Setting Up Your Profile
Profiles are optional. You only need one to create notes, trips and/or add places.
- Open the app and select Profile from the menu.
- Enter your email address and create a password.
- Select Create Account to start using the app with your profile.
Profiles allow access through the Mobile App and the Website.
Navigating
The main menu is on the Bottom Bar:
- Discover acts as the home page with an interactive map and options to focus the map to your current location (Near Me!) or filter based on tags like Pubs, Beaches, Castles
- Search allows you to search based on text, and you can optionally specify a region to narrow down the search. This page also shows the entries you last viewed.
- Regions allow you to jump to the regional destination guide.
- Notes are for logged-in community users who can create private notes.
- Trips are for community members where Notes can be organised into trip timelines.
The secondary menu in the title bar offers access to the Blog, Profile, Feedback, and MyPAWfectPlace social channels.

With our interactive maps, you can browse or tap the “Near Me” feature, and MyPAWfectPlace will show you dog-friendly spots nearby. No more hunting for information – it’s all right at your fingertips!
Looking for a specific type of destination? You can filter by tag like “beach,” “campsite,” “pub,” or even “woodland” to find what you’re after. Whether you’re looking for a spot for a refreshing dip or a place to relax with a cool drink, MyPAWfectPlace makes it easy to filter through thousands of options and find that PAWfect spot.
Search by Text
If you want something specific or have a place in mind, type it into our text search feature. Within seconds, you’ll have all the necessary information, including directions, user reviews, and a clear overview of the location’s dog policies.
Search by Region
Are you planning a trip to the Isle of Wight? Are you heading to Northumberland for a coastal break? Search by region to find dog-friendly beaches, pubs, parks, and more across Britain. MyPAWfectPlace allows you to narrow down the locations you want to explore based on where you’re heading. Perfect for planning day trips or longer holidays with your four-legged friend.

Our app isn’t just about helping you find great places. It’s about creating a community of dog lovers. Join the MyPAWfectPlace community and share your favourite dog-friendly spots with others. You can Add and share your favourite places, helping other users discover hidden gems.

Troubleshooting
Common Issues
- App Crashing: Restart or clear the app’s cache under Settings > Apps > MyPAWfectPlace > Clear Cache.
- Location Not Loading: Ensure GPS is enabled and permissions are granted.
- Login Problems: Reset your password using the “Forgot Password” option on the profile screen.
- The map doesn’t work: We use the standard, to use two fingers to move the map around and one finger to move up and down the page.
- How do I delete my account? once logged into your account, go to your Profile in the menu, and select action edit profile; you will see the delete account as an option.
