Carnoustie Beach has two areas of sand with rocks; there is a small beach beside the Carnoustie Links Golf Course, known as Barry Sands after Barry Burn, that enters the sea at the beach. The other is Westhaven Beach, which moves away from the town.

The beaches at Carnoustie allow dogs all year round.

Carnoustie has a railway station within walking distance, and you have toilets and car parking at the Leisure Centre and along the Links Parade. Plenty of places to eat within Carnoustie that allow dogs.
