Blackwaterfoot is a small village with a harbour overlooking Drumadoon Bay, on the island’s west coast. Dogs love it here, there’s enough space to stretch their legs without worrying about crowds, and the sand is soft underfoot. At low tide, the beach becomes a playground, with pools and plenty of space.

Blackwaterfoot Beach is dog-friendly all year round. Just keep an eye out for horses, as there may be riders enjoying the shoreline as well.
