Coombe Hill and the surrounding area offer several well-marked trails suitable for all fitness levels. These trails meander through heathland, chalk grassland, woodland and open fields, ideal for a leisurely walk or a more vigorous hike with your dog.

The summit of Coombe Hill is marked by the Coombe Hill Monument, a prominent landmark erected in 1904 to honour the men from Buckinghamshire who died during the Second Boer War. It adds a historical element to your visit.
Access and Facilities
The site features a small, free gravel car park; however, Coombe Hill does not have toilets or cafe facilities, so please plan accordingly. If the weather is nice, you may be lucky enough to get an ice cream van.
There is a small area with picnic benches beside the car park.
Nearby, Wendover offers a variety of great food options, including cafes, pubs, and a chocolaterie. You also have The Russell Arms located in Butlers Cross at the base of the hill.
