Deganwy Beach is dog-friendly, with shingle at the high-tide mark and sand as the tide goes out. As you walk away from the houses, sand dunes back the beach. It sits at the mouth of the River Conwy on the Llandudno side, opposite the town of Conwy.

Access and Facilities
Beach facilities include car parking, toilets, food, and a shop. A promenade/path runs along the back of the beach, offering nice flat walking.
The best access for dog walkers is probably the Platt Field Car Park (LL31 9DR) off Deganwy Road. From there, it’s a short walk over the railway bridge and onto the beach.
Our Tips for Visiting with a Dog
The beach lies north of the mouth of the River Conwy, and strong currents make swimming and wading out onto the sandbanks dangerous.
