About
The boat trip has two options to see the seals, and which one is offered depends on the weather conditions. We have done this twice now, which covered both possibilities.
The first was to Seal Island, which took us from the harbour, around the headland, past Porthmeor Beach and along the coast to the island. When you get to the island, we had plenty of opportunity to see the grey seals lying on the rocks before heading back.
The second trip was to Godrevy Lighthouse, which is located across the bay, offering views of the seals on the rocks by the lighthouse. You also get a bit of history with close-up views of the lighthouse.
Out of the two trips, we had a lot more seals on the first, but this may have just been luck, as they were basking in the sunshine on the rocks rather than at the lighthouse, swimming in the water.
In both cases, you may be lucky and spot some dolphins.
