About
Skinburness beach is a long, shingle dog-friendly beach with wooden groynes running from the village to Grune Point. The area has a mix with the sea-facing side being a large shingle beach but around the point, you have an area of salt marsh.
This is an area of Scientific Interest and forms part of the Solway Coast AONB, making this spot popular for walking and bird watching.
Please keep your dogs on the lead around livestock and near the bird feeding and nesting sites in particular, dogs should be on a short lead between 1 March and 31 July to protect breeding birds
