Alum Chine Beach is a sandy beach popular with families and has a children’s play area and a paddling pool. The beach is less busy than those closer to Bournemouth Pier and the town centre.

Alum Chine Beach has dog restrictions from 1 May to 30 September but does allow dogs all-year between the western side of the Alum Chine Beach Office to Branksome Chine Beach Office, Poole. Dogs must be kept on a lead on the promenade.

Facilities include toilets, car parking, disabled access,  food outlets and seasonal lifeguards.
