About
The Devil’s Dyke pub is a great stop whether you need a drink after a long walk or just fancy soaking up the views with a proper meal. It has a cosy, traditional feel inside and plenty of outdoor seating where dogs are more than welcome. Water bowls are usually available, and staff don’t seem to mind a few muddy paws coming through the door.
The menu is classic pub grub—think pies, fish and chips, burgers, and a decent Sunday roast if you time it right. There’s also a good selection of local ales. If you sit outside, you’ll get one of the best views in Sussex, with rolling hills stretching out below. It’s the perfect place to rest while your dog flops down for a nap after racing around.
If you fancy exploring more after your visit, plenty of trails are nearby. If you feel energetic, you can head towards Poynings for a quieter route or take the steep path down into the valley. Either way, The Devil’s Dyke pub makes an excellent base for a day out with your dog.
