The Alford Arms is a small village pub in the wooded valley of Frithsden just outside Berkhamsted. Dogs are welcome in the bar and on the terrace.
This used to be a brewpub but nowadays offers a seasonal menu using fresh local ingredients and real ales from the likes of the local Tring and Chiltern Breweries.
The Alford Arms is a great option for those exploring Northchurch and Berkhamsted Commons along with the Ashridge estate as you can step out of the trees and into the pub.
