Tring Reservoirs is a group of four reservoirs close to Tring on the border of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, whose purpose is to control water levels in the Grand Union Canal.
The four reservoirs are Startops End, Marsworth, Tringford and Wilstone. The first three reservoirs adjoin each other, separated only by paths and roads; the fourth, Wilstone Reservoir, is a little to the west.
An excellent location for dog walking, as you can walk around the reservoirs and/or along the Grand Union Canal. If you want to walk along the canal, it is best to head east as it is more enjoyable with an interesting Marsworth flight of locks.
A short way along, you will meet the Wendover Arm Canal, where you could head off along the towpath.
If you stick to the Grand Union, you will reach the Grand Junctions Arms pub with great food and a large beer garden.
Tring Reservoirs have a pay-and-display car park or free options on the roads around the reservoir. The main car park also has a cafe.
