About
Botany Bay is almost 200m long, with chalk cliffs and stacks, rock pools to explore and gentle swimming conditions. This part of the Kent coast boasts Britain’s longest stretch of chalk cliffs, with Botany Bay being Broadstairs’s northernmost of seven bays.
Dogs are not allowed on Botany Bay beach between 10am and 6pm from 1 May to 30 September
When the tide goes out, you have a chalk reef, considered one of the best in Britain. You can also navigate around chalk stacks to the dog-friendly Kingsgate Bay, but be aware that as the tide comes in, the beaches get cut off, so you may have to walk back along the cliff path.
Facilities include toilets, seasonal kiosks (hot and cold food), disabled access, deck chairs, windbreak hire, lifeguards in summer months and parking.
