Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is located just south of Skegness on the Lincolnshire coast at the northern edge of The Wash. Spanning over 1,000 hectares, it features a variety of habitats, including sand dunes, salt marshes, and freshwater lagoons. It’s a haven for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts, offering tranquil settings and beautiful views.
Dog-Friendly Policies
The reserve has several well-marked walking trails where dogs are welcome. These trails vary in length and difficulty, providing options for all fitness levels.
Dogs must always be kept on a short lead, including on the beach and foreshore between September and March. No dogs are permitted on the beach or foreshore between 1 April and 1 September. Dogs are allowed on the outside veranda of the Visitor Centre but only guide dogs, and assistance dogs are permitted inside the Visitor Centre.

Access and Facilities
Two car parks are available, both on Gibraltar Road. The first is North Car Park, which has no facilities, while the second, larger car park is at the Visitor Centre.
The Visitor Centre includes a cafe, shop, toilets, baby changing facilities and a disabled toilet. The cafe offers delicious hot food, snacks, and a kid’s menu.
