About
Skegness Beach is one of the most famous seaside destinations on the Lincolnshire coast, known for its wide sandy beach, vibrant promenade, and family-friendly attractions. The beach provides a traditional British seaside experience with plenty of entertainment options nearby.
Skegness Beach is probably Lincolnshire’s most renowned beach. Those who have been there call it Skeg, Skeggy, and Skegvegas. It is one of Lincolnshire’s most visited seaside resorts, particularly for those in the East Midlands.
Dog Access and Rules
Skegness Beach has a seasonal dog ban between May 1st and September 30th. The restricted area runs for much of the beach from the lifeboat house on Tower Esplanade up to the skate park at the end of North Parade.
Beyond the lifeguard tower and along with the small beaches that extend north as far as Mablethorpe, there are still plenty of beaches to visit with your dog.
Dogs must be on a lead when on the promenade between 1st May and 30th September.
Access and Facilities
Facilities at the beach include a large car park and street parking, seasonal lifeguards, toilets, incl. disabled, deckchair/chalet/beach hut hire, restaurants/cafes, first aid facilities, a pier, promenade, amusements and slipway.
