Dog Access and Rules
Heacham Beach is incredibly dog-friendly, making it a top choice for dog owners. Dogs are welcome on the beach all year round with no restrictions, which is a big plus for those visiting during the peak summer months, where areas like Hunstanton have some limitations.
Things To See & Do
Heacham Beach is located on the west coast of Norfolk, just a short drive from Hunstanton. Itโs one of the few beaches on Englandโs east coast that faces west, offering stunning views of the sun setting over The Wash.
The beach is divided into two main areas: North and South Beaches. Both offer a tranquil seaside experience, with the northern section being more developed with holiday parks and facilities. At the same time, the southern stretch remains quieter and more natural, perfect for long dog walks and exploring with your pet.

The village of Heacham is about 15 minutes south of Hunstanton and around 45 minutes from Kingโs Lynn. Parking is available at North and South Beaches. South Beach tends to be quieter and is ideal for a more peaceful visit with your dog.
Regular buses run from Kingโs Lynn and Hunstanton to Heacham, making it easily accessible without driving. From the village, itโs just a short walk to the beach.
