About
Nestled in the serene Shropshire Hills, Wilderhope Manor is a charming Elizabethan manor managed by the National Trust that operates as a dog-friendly, self-catering YHA hostel.
It is not a traditional youth hostel, as it is only available on an Exclusive Hire basis, so you’ll get the entire place to yourself. If you’re looking for a family holiday, walking break, or trip to the countryside for a larger group, this hostel offers a historic, beautiful setting.
Sleeps up to 42 guests, 4 dogs in 8 bedrooms with 11 bathrooms.
Wilderhope Manor is located in the picturesque Shropshire Hills, near the village of Longville in the Dale. This Grade I listed building dates back to the 16th century and is a fine example of Elizabethan architecture. The manor has a rich history and offers visitors a chance to step back in time while enjoying the stunning natural surroundings of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
