You will recognise Flatford as it was the inspiration for some of John Constable’s most famous 18th-century paintings, for example, the Hay Wain or Boatbuilding near Flatford Mill.
Flatford lies in the heart of the beautiful Stour Valley and Dedham Vale, spend time exploring the River Stour or looking at Flatford Mill and Willy Lott’s House.
This a great area for dogs but please keep your dog on a lead at all times, dogs are allowed in all outside areas as well as the Boat House Gallery section of the Tea room, the Constable exhibition and Bridge Cottage.
