Roker Beach is to the north of and the closest beach to Sunderland. It is a wide sandy beach with all the usual seaside attractions, including a marine activities centre, boating lake, gardens/park, and model railway.

Roker Beach does not allow dogs between the 1st of May and the 30th of September.

Facilities at the beach include parking, toilets, cafes and restaurants.

When visiting Roker Beach, you must take the scenic walk along the pier to the lighthouse, where you can enjoy panoramic views out into the North Sea or back along the coast.
