Sandhaven Beach is a large sandy beach in South Shields. The beach is located south of the pier and is backed by dunes and some grass areas.

Dogs are not allowed on Sandhaven Beach between 1 May and 30 September between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm.

Facilities include parking, a restaurant/cafe, a slipway, toilets, seasonal lifeguards and a pier.
