Chapel Porth Beach

Chapel Porth Beach is a small sandy cove that expands beyond the cliffs at low tide. If you check the tide times, heading south to Porthtowan Beach is possible. Alternatively, if the tide is not in your favour, the South West coast path extends along the cliff top in either direction.

Chapel Porth Beach has seasonal dog restrictions, not allowing dogs from 1st July to 31st August between 10 am – 6 pm.

Many caves are scattered along this stretch of coastline formed by coastal erosion, and you also have old mining ruins in the valley and on the cliffs reminding you of the area’s tin and copper mining heritage.

National Trust car park at the beach, toilets, small cafe and lifeguards in the summer. You have car parking at the top of the hill above the cove.
