Porthmeor beach is perfect for families, as the beach sits in the town of St Ives and is overlooked by the Tate St Ives. Porthmeor beach has seasonal dog restrictions not allowing dogs from 15th May to 30th September between 10 am – 6 pm.

The beach has good sand at the top and then a slope at the high water mark takes you to a large expanse of flat compact sand.

You have a Surf school located on the beach by the cafe.

This beach has a cafe and restaurant, toilets, seasonal lifeguards and as you are in the town itself you have easy access to everything that gives, including the all year dog-friendly beaches of Bamaluz and Lambeth.
