As the year comes to a close, I’ve found myself reflecting on 2025 with a sense of pride, resembling the satisfaction you feel after a fulfilling walk, and a dog peacefully asleep at your feet.
This year was about small building blocks; it focused on doing the right things properly, one step at a time, and always together.
Showing up where you are
One of the most significant moments for us this year was making MyPAWfectPlace available on both Android and Apple mobiles.
That might sound like a technical win, but really, it was about trust and access. You told us you wanted something you could rely on while out walking. Not later. Not when you got home. Right there, lead in one hand, phone in the other.
So we built it. Carefully. Properly.
From places to plans
In 2025, MyPAWfectPlace grew beyond listings.
We added notes and trip planning, shaped by how people really walk with their dogs. Not rigid routes or perfect days, but a flexible way to jot down, organise and share ideas that adapt.
This came straight from lived experience, being able to annotate as you browse, then organise, visit and even add a reflection about the trip.
PAWprints found their feet
PAWprints have become one of the most genuine features we’ve added.
They can be full, detailed reviews or small, honest one-liners. However, when combined, they create something powerful, a collective layer of real-world knowledge that no single voice can provide.
PAWprints capture what it’s like to visit a place, highlighting the mud, wind, busy paths, restrictions, quiet corners, and more. This is what makes MyPAWfectPlace trustworthy. It’s not just our perspective on whether a place is good; it’s the community that confirms it.
Walking the ground ourselves
In 2025, we focused on steady progress and aimed to give dog owners confidence when visiting a new place.
We have put in the miles, exploring Cornwall, East Sussex, West Sussex, and Leicestershire. In addition to our trips, we conducted in-depth research on the Peak District, studying routes, seasonal access, terrain, and dog considerations.
This balance between walking the paths and conducting thorough research is central to our approach.
Looking ahead, one thing feels clear
We will keep adding small features based on requests, but 2026 is the year we will look to build our coverage across the UK with our communities’ help.
A new location or a single PAWprint left behind after a walk is an experience that is explored and shared. Individually, these may seem simple, but together, they form something much greater than any one of us could achieve alone.
Thank you for walking with us this year, for trusting our work, and for sharing your experiences.
We’re ready for the next stretch of the path. And, as always, we’ll take it one visit or walk at a time. 🐾
