About
Snaefell is the highest mountain and the only summit higher than 2,000 feet (610 m) on the Isle of Man, generally noted as 2,034 feet (621 m) above sea level.
At the summit, one can see seven kingdoms: Mann, Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales, Heaven and Neptune.
You can walk up to the summit or catch the dog-friendly Mountain Railway from Laxey station. There is an option to stop part of the way up at Bungalow Station by the Victory Cafe and walk the last stretch.
It is well worth remembering that this is a mountain and the conditions can be considerably different to those on the coast, so make sure you go with the necessary jumpers.
