About
Peel’s main beach is a large sandy city beach backed by a promenade. Peel Bay beach does not allow dogs between 10 am and 7 pm during the Summer season of 1st April to 30th September. If you want access to a beach, you can walk over to Fenella Beach beside the castle, which has no dog restrictions.
On one side of the bay, you have Peel Castle and Peel Harbour whilst on the other red sandstone cliffs. The beach is gently sloping and has some protection from the Peel Breakwater.
Peel is west facing and is often referred to as Isle of Man’s Sunset City after the spectacular sunsets that can be seen.
Plenty of facilities as the beach is with the city of Peel and benefits from many cafes, pubs, ice-cream parlours and shops. Car parking is easy with many options in the town or the Fenella Beach car park just over the swing bridge by Peel Castle.
