About
The Black Boy sits in the quiet Buckinghamshire village of Oving, a short drive from Aylesbury. It’s an old country pub with a large garden that feels laid-back and inviting. It’s a solid, dog-friendly pub where you can sit, eat, and watch the light change over the fields, and in the evening, the hilltop and westerly facing garden give you some incredible sunsets.
Dog Access and Rules
Dogs are welcome in the garden and bar area. Bowls of water sit near the door, and no one minded a bit of muddy paw print on the floor after a wet walk.
What's On Offer
The Black Boy offers a diverse restaurant menu featuring a mix of classic and contemporary dishes, including a variety of vegetarian and vegan options. Special themed menus complement the regular menu at times. Sundays feature a traditional roast menu, consisting of at least two different roasts, a selection of fresh vegetables, and alternative Sunday specials, available in both full and half portion sizes.
The drinks offering includes a strong range of local and national ales, a wide selection of draught and bottled beers, and premium wines. The daily happy hour provides a nice discount on many popular drinks.
Access and Facilities
The pub’s got a decent-sized car park right next to it, and if it does fill up, then you have some spots on the surrounding roads.
