About
Cwmtydu Beach is a sandy/pebble beach in a small protected cove at the end of a wooded valley. The beach has rocks and caves to explore and the cove was known to be used by smugglers.
An old lime kiln, restored by the National Trust, is at the top of the beach by the car park.
Cwmtydu Beach allows dogs all year and, while on the Heritage Coast Path, is a great location for dog walks. Keep an eye out as, from August to December, you can see Atlantic Grey Seals with their pups in amongst the rocks, although this means dogs must be kept under close supervision.
Facilities include toilets, a seasonal cafe, and car parks.
