About
Bodmin Jail was built in 1779 and today shows the rich and darkly fascinating legacy of Georgian and Victorian crime and punishment, the jail is an immersive experience for all the family.
Dogs are allowed on site in the courtyard, Courtyard Bistro, hotel, and gift shop. Unfortunately, we don’t let dogs into the museum as the loud noises and sudden movements might be too much for their sensitive ears. We recommend that family groups tour the museum in two stages with one group looking after the dog whilst the other looks around the museum.
