About
St Ives Harbour Beach sits right in the heart of the town, cradled by the harbour walls with boats bobbing to one side and cafes and pubs overlooking. The harbour is a working [tourist] harbour, but as the tide goes out, you have a small beach protected by the harbour walls and within the heart of St Ives.
Things To See & Do
During the summer, you are restricted, and although I have been to St Ives many times, we have never actually been on Harbour Beach, as you have nicer beaches around. But it is an option, as at low tide, you’ve got soft sand under your paws and room to explore.
The harbour is a very busy area with restaurants and pubs, but you can also hire boats, canoes and paddleboards. The harbour also has dog-friendly boat trips to Seal Island and Godrevy lighthouse.
Access and Facilities
The beach is in the centre, and so you have all the facilities of St Ives, including car parks, boat hire, boat trips, amusements, shops, pubs and restaurants. Parking in St Ives is limited, and it is recommended to park and take the train in.
