About
Seaton Tramway operates dog-friendly narrow gauge heritage trams between Seaton, Colyford and Colyton in East Devon’s glorious Axe Valley, travelling alongside the River Axe estuary through two nature reserves and giving an unrivalled view of the abundant wading bird life.
Seaton Tramway welcomes dogs into the cafe and shops and can ride on trams for a flat rate each way. However, dogs are not permitted on the top deck of our double-decker trams.
The tramway has multiple stops over the 3-mile route, which takes half an hour. You can leave at any stop and take a walk, catching another tram later. One option is to get off at Colyford Station and follow the Coly River North, keeping the river to your left and re-joining the tram at Colyton Station. One note to be aware of is that Seaton Wetlands does not allow dogs, so dogs are not allowed to leave the trams at this stop.
