Beer Beach in East Devon is a very pretty, curved, small shingle beach and is usually quite busy all year round. Located on the Jurassic Coast the picturesque village of Beer lies around the cove and is also sits within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
This is still a fishing village; you will share the beach with lobster pots, fishing boats, and other beach visitors. As it is still a fishing village it’s possible to buy fresh fish and crab straight from the boats.
Beer has the eastern half of the beach dog-friendly all year round, whilst dog restrictions are in place on the western half of the beach between the 1st of May and the 30th of September.
Visiting Beer is not just about the beach or village but great for exploring the coast with your four-legged friend as you are amongst some stunning scenery. The South West Coast Path to the east will take you to the town of Seaton, while to the west will take you to the village of Branscome
You can park in the large car park in the village itself or alternatively, there’s parking on the cliffs, but it’s about a 5-mile walk.
The beach is close to the town centre, and facilities include toilets, parking, shops, and cafes.
