About
Weymouth Bay Holiday Park is a good shout if you’re after something easy to get to, not miles from the beach, and still have enough space to let the dog leg it about a bit without bothering anyone. It’s just a short drive from Weymouth town, tucked behind a few sleepy streets in Preston.
Dog Access and Rules
Weymouth Bay welcomes dogs. The main restaurant has a dog-friendly area and a dog-friendly terrace.
What's On Offer
The park’s got everything you need for a chilled base. There’s an indoor and outdoor pool (again, not for the dogs), takeaway pizza, a small arcade, and a shop for the bits you forgot.
Plenty of green space is at the edges for early morning walks before the kids pile out.
Things To See & Do
This is where Weymouth Bay gets it right. You’re close to loads of top dog-friendly spots. Bowleaze Cove is just down the road where dogs are allowed all year, and there’s a cracking little cafe up the slope.
For walks, you can head into Weymouth, and parts of Weymouth Beach are dog-friendly all year, though check signs as they change with the season.
If you fancy going a bit further, Lulworth Cove is about a 30-minute drive and well worth it. It’s a bit hilly in parts.
Access and Facilities
Getting to Weymouth Bay Holiday Park is simple. It’s just off the main road into Weymouth, close to the big Morrisons. Parking’s right by the caravans which is brilliant.
There’s a bus that stops just outside the park, so if you don’t fancy driving into Weymouth town centre, it’s dead easy to hop on.
