A gorgeous little haven on the outskirts of Dumfries. There are many circular walking routes through the woods.
Access and Facilities
There are two entry points to Heathhall Forest. From the north, there is access from Tinwald Downs Road to the south of Heathhall village, where there is plenty of on-street parking. From the south, a small car park is available just off the A709.
The main paths are wide and laid to gravel. It is mostly level.
