Dumfries is a small, formal wool town, and is the final resting place of the Great Baird, Robert Burns. You can visit his mausoleum, located in the graveyard of St. Michael’s Church, and his house on Burns Street.
There are many lovely walks through the streets and parks of the town and the surrounding area.
