About
Situated on George Street, Pan’s Cafe was originally the entrance to the adjoining building, Moat Brae, the gardens of which had inspired J. M. Barrie as a child, to write Peter Pan.
Moat Brae had been lovingly and extensively restored back to the house J. M. Barrie had loved and was opened to the public in 2019, the pandemic was not kind, and in 2024, it was sold for office space. The cafe re-opened independently.
