Dog Access and Rules
Are dogs allowed on Frinton beach? Seasonal ban runs 1 May to 30 Sept between the Warden Station and Cambridge Road. Outside this central strip, dogs are welcome all year.
From 1 May to 30 September, dogs are prohibited on the seafront between the Warden Station below Connaught Avenue and the public conveniences below Cambridge Road. Outside that signed stretch, dogs are welcome on the beach throughout the summer. From 1 October to 30 April, the entire beach is open to dogs with no seasonal restrictions.
Check signs at the Connaught Avenue and Cambridge Road access points to enter directly onto open sand rather than the restricted zone.
Frinton offers a quieter alternative to nearby resorts, featuring approximately 1.5 km of sandy beach backed by greensward and historic stilt beach huts, with roadside parking, public toilets, and local amenities within walking distance.

Things To See & Do
This is great for taking your dog, as Frinton-on-Sea has a 1.5km (1 mile) sandy beach with wooden groynes.
As you wander along the beach or promenade, take a moment to study the beach huts. These huts differ from most resorts in that, although accessed from the promenade, they protrude over the beach on stilts. A great photo opportunity with the sea and sky’s different colours and moods.
