About
The Lochbuie Stone Circle is located in a remote area surrounded by nature and is dog-friendly. Your dog can explore the site alongside you, but it’s recommended that you keep it on a lead, as there may be livestock grazing nearby.
Wander around the ancient granite stones, taking in this relic from the Neolithic period. The circle is approximately 12m in diameter, with the tallest stone being 2m high. You also have three stones set apart from the circle.
The stone circle is set against the backdrop of stunning hills and open fields, which make for a lovely walk. A visit to the stone circle should be part of a dog walk from Laggan Sands. The route takes you through beautiful countryside, along the coastline, and past historical sites like Moy Castle.
