Things To See & Do
Rhoscolyn Beach is an absolute dream for dogs who love the outdoors. Let your dog race along the soft sand, splash in the gentle waves, and dig to their heart’s content. The shallow waters are ideal for paddling, even for nervous swimmers. If your dog enjoys sniffing out discoveries, the rocky outcrops at the edges of the bay are perfect for exploration.
If you want to get away from the sand, follow the Anglesey Coastal Path towards Rhoscolyn Headland, where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic sea views and rugged cliffs. Look for seals basking on the rocks.
Access and Facilities
Rhoscolyn Beach is located near Holyhead on Anglesey, around 15 minutes from Trearddur Bay and 30 minutes from Menai Bridge. There is limited parking near the beach, but spaces can fill up quickly during peak times. If the main parking area is full, you may need to park in Rhoscolyn Village and walk down.
The nearest train station is in Holyhead. Local buses run to Rhoscolyn, though services can be infrequent.
This remote beach has limited facilities besides a small car park and toilets. But after a day on the beach or a long walk, head to The White Eagle pub (just a short stroll away) for a well-earned drink and something to eat.
