About
Knole is a medieval deer park designated SSSI, initially built as an archbishop’s palace for the Archbishop of Canterbury, Knole passed through royalty to the Sackville family, who still live here today.
Knole Park has many areas to explore, and although most paths are rough, there are a few hard-standing paths. The paths take you across grassland, parkland, woodland and ponds.
Dogs are allowed in the parkland and the outdoor courtyard areas but must be on a lead as this is a deer park. Assistance dogs only inside any building.
