Chartwell was the family home and garden of Winston and Clementine Churchill for over 40 years.

Dogs are welcome in all outdoor areas at Chartwell, please keep your dog on a short lead throughout the formal gardens. Only assistance dogs are only allowed in house, shop and café. If you do want to visit the cafe there is an adjoining room that allows dogs or you can sit in the outdoor seating area.

The estate includes 800 acres of fields and woodlands which sit outside of the formal gardens, ponds and lakes. In this wider estate, you can allow your dog off the lead under close control where no livestock is around.
