Tucked between Sittingbourne, Milton Regis and Kemsley, this 128-acre green space has been transformed from its former industrial and landfill past into a mix of meadows, scrub, woodland and aquatic habitats. The result is a surprisingly wild corner of Kent, with Milton Creek at its heart and plenty of wildlife to discover.
Milton Creek is a shallow tidal inlet that runs north-east from Sittingbourne to join the Swale, and it was an important waterway until rail and road networks offered faster transport options.
Dog Access and Rules
Are dogs allowed at Milton Creek Country Park? Yes. park is dog-friendly, with dog waste bins, but as with any busy public space, that comes with a little responsibility.
Keep your dog under control, particularly around other walkers, children and wildlife, and always pick up after them.
Things To See & Do
If your dog prefers interesting walks rather than simply covering miles, Milton Creek could be a good match. The park has a network of paths and routes, including links with the Saxon Shore Way.
Although you can just come along and walk, you do have a number of marked trails:
- Green Route is 1.27km
- Blue Route art trail is 1.07km
- Red Route is 2.26km
- Purple Route nature trail is 3.75km
- Full loop is 5.1km
Access and Facilities
The free car park is accessed from Saffron Way opposite Tool Station. Please note there is a 6 ft 6 in height barrier.
