Sheerness Beach is sand and shingle at the mouth of the Thames and Medway estuaries.
The beach is backed by a large concrete seawall that separates it from the promenade. At high tide, the sea comes to the sea wall; at low tide, you have a large shingle and sandy beach with pools to explore.
Dog Access and Rules
Can dogs go on Sheerness Beach? Seasonal ban where dogs are not allowed on the main beach between 1 May and 30 September.
The main beach restricted zone runs from adjacent to Beach Street Car Park eastward to the west side of the steps leading over the sea wall immediately to the east of Sheerness Swimming Pool. You will see signs marking the restrictions.

Access and Facilities
Facilities include toilets at the leisure centre, car parking, a swimming pool, seasonal lifeguards, and a supermarket. You also have shops, cafes and restaurants on the High Street a short walk away.
