Beyond the inn, you’re surrounded by picturesque countryside and historic landmarks. The River Windrush flows gently nearby, providing a beautiful backdrop for a stroll, while the ruins of Minster Lovell Hall add a touch of history to your visit.
Dog Access and Rules
The Old Swan welcomes dogs in both its bar area and garden. For overnight stays, they offer dog-friendly rooms, complete with treats, a dog bed, and bowls. There’s a small charge for dogs staying overnight, but it’s well worth it for the welcome pack.
While dogs aren’t allowed in the main restaurant, the bar and garden areas allow dogs.
Access and Facilities
The Old Swan is located in Minster Lovell, just a short drive from Witney and easily accessible from Oxford. It’s around 20 minutes from Oxford via the A40, with free on-site parking available for guests and visitors. Regular buses connect Oxford to Witney, from where you can take a short taxi ride to Minster Lovell.
