About
Nestled between Tenby and Saundersfoot on the stunning Pembrokeshire coast in Wales, Monkstone Beach is a true escape from the bustling tourist hotspots. Rugged cliffs frame this secluded stretch of sand.
Dog Access and Rules
Monkstone Beach is a haven for dog owners. There are no seasonal restrictions, so your four-legged friend can bound along the golden sands and splash in the surf all year round.
Things To See & Do
What sets Monkstone Beach apart is its tranquil charm. It’s where you can escape the crowds and enjoy quality time with your dog, surrounded by nature’s beauty. The vast, open space at low tide is perfect for long strolls, although the beach disappears at high tide.
This is a hidden gem and is rarely ever crowded. The combination of dramatic cliffs, golden sands, rocks, and the sound of waves creates an unforgettable experience.
Access and Facilities
Access to Monkstone Beach requires some effort but is well worth it. The main route is via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. A steep footpath and steps leading down to the beach might be challenging for those with mobility issues.
Parking is limited on the road by Trevayne Farm, and many park in Saundersfoot or Tenby and then enjoy the scenic coastal walk as part of their journey to Monkstone.
Monkstone Beach is a natural, unspoiled location, so facilities are non-existent.
