About
Nestled on the northern tip of the Pembrokeshire coastline, Poppit Sands is a beautiful, expansive sandy beach perfect for dog lovers. Poppit Sands Beach offers everything you need for a day out with your dog, whether you’re up for a long walk, a paddle in the sea, or simply a relaxing afternoon soaking in the scenery.
Dog Access and Rules
Poppit Sands Beach is a dog-friendly haven, but there are some seasonal restrictions to be aware of. During the summer months (1st May and 30th September), dogs are restricted on the beach’s western end, but you have space on the right by the river and the dunes for all-year-round dog access. However, the beach is large, and there are ample spaces where your dog can run free, even in peak season. Outside of these months, the entire beach is open for dogs to enjoy without any restrictions, making autumn and winter ideal times to visit for uninterrupted adventures.
