About
Visiting Porthselau Beach with your dog is an excellent idea if you’re looking for a serene and beautiful spot along the Pembrokeshire Coast in Wales. Porthselau Beach is located just a short distance from the more famous Whitesands Bay and offers a quieter alternative with stunning coastal views and sandy shores.
Dog Access and Rules
Porthselau Beach allows dogs throughout the year.
Things To See & Do
Porthselau is primarily a sandy beach with plenty of rock pools at low tide, which makes it great for dogs who love to run and play in the sand. The beach gently slopes into the sea, providing a perfect spot for swimming.
Surrounded by cliffs and coastal paths, the beach offers picturesque views and a peaceful environment, ideal for relaxing and taking in the natural beauty of the area.
Access and Facilities
There are no facilities at all here, and access is along the coast path from Whitesands. Pencarnan campsite is immediately behind the beach but facilities are for residents only. The nearest refreshments are at Whitesands Beach.
It is possible to walk/wade around from Whitesands Beach at low tide, although Whitesands has a seasonal dog ban. We think it’s best to get there via The Coast Path
