Swanlake Bay beach is like many beaches in this part of Pembrokeshire: a secluded shingle beach with sand exposed at low tide, surrounded by cliffs.
You can only access the beach via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and any visit includes a great coastal dog walk.

Things To See & Do
This is a great sandy bay with rockpools to explore, but any visit is really part of a longer coastal walk.
From the bay, walk west to Freshwater East; if you want to continue, explore the Stackpole Estate, and take in views at Barafundle Bay.
Following the coastal path east takes you to Manorbier Beach, where medieval Manorbier Castle overlooks the bay. Continue on to Skrinkle Haven Beach and Lydstep Beach, where you will start to spot Caldey Island across the water.
Access and Facilities
Swanlake Bay is a remote, natural bay, so there are no facilities on the beach itself.
You can access it via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path from either Manorbier Beach or Freshwater East. Both have public car parks close to the bays where you can join the coastal path, then keep walking until you reach Swanlake Bay Beach. Once you reach the beach, you will find a set of steps toward the centre of the bay that take you onto the sandy beach.
