Dunwich Heath and Beach is a remote and beautiful stretch of Suffolk’s coastline. Coastal lowland heath sandy cliffs and shingle beach, rich in wildlife, offering tranquillity and excellent views.
Dogs are welcome, although they must be kept on a short lead from 1 March – 31 August. On the heath, a dog-friendly off-lead route is available.
The shingle beach backs onto a heath, large reedbeds and woodland.
Parking (free at the beach but charged at Heath), toilets, good food, tea room and kiosk at the old Coastguard Cottages.
